Borderlands: Most Multiplayer Fun Since Left4Dead
The Windows release for Borderlands finally dropped on October 26th for those of us the United States. I managed to convince 3 friends to go in on the Steam 4 pack with me. That brought the price down to $33 and change for each copy. It's an amazing deal.
This game deserves a full review but I'm going to be as concise as I possibly can here.
New and Exciting from EEE
Well E3 basically just happened. All the big names had their big shows. This is what I'm excited about in no particular order. Some of it was announced at the show and some were just updated there:
- Brutal Legend (Xbox 360/PS3)
- 10/13/2009
- Army of Two: The 40th Day (Xbox 360/PS3)
- 12/31/2009
- Borderlands (Xbox 360/PS3/PC)
- 9/1/2009
- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers
- 12/31/2009
- Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360/PS3)
- 12/31/2010
- Super Mario Bros New (Wii)
- 11/2/2009
So there are a lot more that I have a possible interest in but they don't qualify as exciting. Things like Halo ODST, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Super Mario Galaxy 2, etc. There are a ton of shooters coming. Keep in mind that all those ship dates are from Gamestop and they may be making them up. And if you want to give them your money now, they'll give you free overnight shipping, lol.
My biggest dissapointment of the newly announced/updated games is Front Mission Evolved. Square Enix is farming out the IP to another company to turn it in to a 3rd person shooter. <cry> All I want is a new Front Mission turnbased tactical strategy game!
